From the CEO, Robert Ugianskis: Highland Laboratories ownership change is "a significant milestone in our continuing evolution"

Highland Laboratories, an industry veteran in the natural products industry, announces new ownership through a management buyout in the month of October

For over 45 years Highland Laboratories has been a trusted researched-based nutritional supplements provider to the custom formulation and private label markets. It has been a pioneer in the development of innovative and unique product formulations, and takes great pride in its strong, long term relationships with its customers. With this change in management, this vision now remains intact into the future.

As a result of the transaction, Robert Ugianskis remains Chief Executive Officer and becomes Chairman of the new entity. Keith Gregory remains Chief Financial Officer and John Mills will lead Formulation and Product Development activities within the organization. Both Keith and John will hold positions on the Board of Directors. Additional members of the Board of Directors are being appointed to guide Highland Laboratories in its future endeavors. All other members of the Highland Laboratories family remain in their current roles.

“The buyout is a significant milestone in our continuing evolution.” said Ugianskis. “We are committed to innovation and growth, and our new structure will enable Highland Laboratories to expand its product offerings deeper into the Natural Products Industry.”

“We are very happy to be able to continue the legacy at Highland.” said Gregory. “Highland has a very strong team in place and I’m excited we can maintain continuity for all of the Highland family into the future.  Mt. Angel is a charming community and we look forward to embracing the heritage we are now a part of.”

Highland Laboratories will continue to support and expand its house brands, including Mt Angel Vitamins, into the natural channel. “We have just completed the role out of several exciting new products for the Mt. Angel Vitamin line and I am excited to see their presence expanding on shelves across America.” said Mills. “My team has been working very hard on our Private Label product offerings and I am excited to bring some innovative formulations to that space in the coming months.”
